Top Shooter Games on Unified Platform in New Zealand, Q3 2025

In the third quarter of 2025, New Zealand's gaming scene saw notable activity among the top shooter games on a unified platform. This analysis, derived from Sensor Tower data, reveals key trends in downloads, revenue, and active user metrics for the leading titles.

Call of Duty®: Mobile from Activision Publishing, Inc. displayed a gradual decline in weekly revenue, starting from $49.4K at the end of June and settling around $30.5K by late September. Downloads hovered consistently around 1.5K weekly, with slight fluctuations, while active users decreased from approximately 14.5K to 9.2K over the quarter.

Destiny: Rising, a newcomer from NETEASE INTERACTIVE, experienced an initial surge in downloads with 8.5K in late August, but this sharply dropped to 213 by the end of September. Revenue peaked at $8.4K early in the release, followed by a decrease to $1.6K, while active users saw a dramatic fall from 6.3K to just 338.

Sniper 3D: Gun Shooting Games by Wildlife Studios maintained a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $864 by the end of September. Downloads also showed growth, reaching 1.6K, and weekly active users increased from 1.5K to 3.5K over the quarter.

PUBG MOBILE from Tencent Mobile saw a peak in weekly revenue of $41.3K in early July, with a subsequent decline to $19.1K by the end of the quarter. Its weekly downloads remained stable around 900, while active users hovered consistently around 9K.

Lastly, Squid Game: Unleashed by Netflix, Inc. showed a steep decline in downloads from 3.8K to just over 100 by the end of September. Despite this, active users only slightly decreased from 6.2K to 3.7K.
